Children are encouraged to watch flipped learning videos before and after lessons to help with their learning. The children have been given Google usernames and passwords written in their Personal Organisers and have joined the ‘Courageous Columba’ Google Classroom page. Please check Google Classroom for the latest website and video links to support your child’s learning.
We expect that every child in Columba will read with an adult at home at least 4 times a week…more would be fantastic! Please sign this in your child’s P.O. (Personal Organiser) in the diary section, on the date that you have read. This is checked on a weekly basis.
We expect every child to complete the Spelling sheets in their Spelling Book and the online Spelling Shed challenge at least three times. This will help your child to retain the spelling pattern they have learned that week.
Mathletics is an engaging, supportive online learning resource which will challenge and support the children in their mathematical development. Please access as much as possible. Assignments will be set weekly, in line with classroom learning.
Please practice times tables with your child on a weekly basis. Your child should know their times tables up to 12 x 12, with the associated division facts.
